Judith Clark
My name is Judith Clark. I am a Mental Health Social Worker & Supervisor, as well as a Clinical Counsellor. I can help you to deal with the challenges you face in life and will provide tailored, evidenced-based interventions to meet your individual needs, in order to achieve your goals. I will listen and support you in a way that resonates with you.
I studied at the University of Canberra, completing a Bachelor of Community Education, majoring in Community Counselling and Community Education. I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Counselling; a Masters in Social Work (Professional Qualifier) Degree at the Charles Sturt University, Wagga; Drug & Alcohol qualifications; and I am a trained teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion.
My career began working mainly in trauma. I have attended numerous conferences & workshops relating to trauma, developing my professional knowledge further. I have years of experience working with trauma, substance use and sexual abuse. I have worked with some of our most vulnerable people who live within the community. This has contributed to my experience and given me a greater understanding of the needs of the people I work with.
I believe Self-Compassion is a component missing in our society. I incorporate Self-Compassion into my daily practice and provide courses in Mindful Self-Compassion.
I have a wide range of knowledge and skills which I am constantly updating to provide the best support for clients. I have worked in government and non-government sectors before moving to private practice. I have also worked, and continue to do so, in the community as a volunteer for many years.
I give back to the profession by providing supervision for a variety of therapists. I have completed studies through the AASW in supervision. I offer benefits to supervisees drawn from my depth of experience.
